Bonnie (Andrew) Comer, 69, went to be with her Lord on November 14, 2022 with her husband by her side.
Bonnie was born March 9, 1953 in Des Moines to George and Shirley (Knipp) Andrew. She grew up in Indianola. She had an in-home daycare for several years and later worked for the Christian Opportunity Center in Indianola. Bonnie was a devout Christian. She had been a longtime member of Indianola First Assembly of God Church and most recently, Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. She faithfully studied God’s word daily. Bonnie loved the outdoors. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Rodger; children, Angela (Scott) VonWachter and Ryan Comer; grandchildren, Hannah, Gabriel, Abigail, Naomi, Noah, Caleb, Elizabeth, Peter, Samantha and Colby; mother, Shirley; sisters, Anna (Michael) Brown and Jean (Mike) Garrison; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Andrew.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 314 E. Army Post Road. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Bonnie will be laid to rest at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in loving memory of Bonnie.
