Gary Lust, 78, passed away on November 11, 2022, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center. He was born in Newton, Iowa, on December 20, 1943, to Edwin and Viola Lust.

Gary was a route driver for Anderson Erickson Dairy for many years. He was an avid Hawkeye fan and a farmer who showed Guernsey dairy cows in State Fair competitions.

Gary is survived by his daughters, Angie Boals, Natalie Heckman and Mamie Lust; five grandchildren, Grant and Lexie Heckman, Devon and Samantha Holmes, and Bradley Boals; two great-grandchildren, Jace and Noah; sister, Cheryl (Johnny) Johnston; brother, Gene (Judy) Lust. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jerry Lust.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Hamilton’s Mitchellville Funeral Home, 303 Center Ave. S., Mitchellville with visitation to begin at 12:30 p.m.
