Vernon Lee Spevack

Vernon Lee Spevack, 67, passed away on November 3, 2022. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on March 31, 1955, to Vernon J. and Janet Spevack.

Vernie Boy was a Tire Inspector for Bridgestone/Firestone. He enjoyed being outdoors, deer hunting, and fishing. Vernon loved karaoke, his best friend Pa-Lo, boy’s night with Chance, watching Fox News, The Voice, Wheel of Fortune and let’s not forget NASCAR racing - go “Joey Logano”

Vernon is survived by his son, John Spevack; daughter, Iva “Jan” Spevack; granddaughters, Aubrie (Cal) Spevack, Angel Spevack, Citori Spevack; brother, Lloyd (Denise) Spevack - LaPorte TX; sister, Dee (Kevin) Shunk - Melrose IA; honorable cousin “lifelong friend”, Sam (Janet) Vos - Mitchellville IA; 1 niece; and 2 nephews; along with many great nieces and nephews; 2 aunts; 1 uncle and many cousins.

Services will be held at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., on Sunday, November 13, 2022 with a 12:00 p.m., funeral service on Monday, November 14. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
