Robert "Bob" Higbie
November 04, 2022
Robert “Bob” Higbie, 63, passed away November 4, 2022 at Unity Point Taylor House Hospice.
Bob was born November 23, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas to Elza Lewis and Sue Higbie. In addition to Texas, he lived in Massachusetts and Arizona prior to moving to Iowa three years ago. Bob worked as Director of Operations for Centene. He loved the Lord and was a member of Adelphi Calvary Baptist Church.
Bob was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his wife and daughter, Ana. He loved the life he built with his wife Patty. Bob enjoyed being outdoors, especially on their farm taking care of the animals. He loved fishing, hunting and golfing. Bob was fun loving. He enjoyed teasing people and making them laugh, he especially loved doing things that no one expected him to do. Bob would do silly things such as promising daughter Ana that he would watch a Barbie Movie with her on February 29th. She never caught on to it. At the same time he was a man of few words but those words meant everything to him. Bob showed great concern for others and if you were a part of his life, he considered you family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Patty; daughters, Ana Higbie and Kimberlea Higbie-Ward; granddaughter, Jolie Standley; brother, Richard Higbie; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his angel babies.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Adelphi Calvary Baptist Church, 7925 SE Vandalia Drive, Runnells, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to ACTS Academy in loving memory of Bob.

Thinking of you Patty & Ana. I loved Bob's sense of humor. He was such a joy to be around, all of you were! God answered many prayers, and he was looking forward to seeing His Saviour. John 16:22. ❤

Bob, was my nephew by marriage. He was married to my niece Patty. He was an awesome sweet man.
He was a very caring and loving man, to his family, and beyond.

I was blessed to get to know Bob during our start up with work. Job Fairs with him were full of laughs and mischief, which didn't stop once we got to the office.
He had so much love for Patty and Ana and was so proud of his team at ITC. This world is just a little darker without his light, but Heaven gained an amazing angel who will be looking after his loved ones, without a doubt. All while rubbing his beard every so often just to get my goat!
You put up an amazing fight. Thank you for coming to Iowa so that we all had a chance to get to know you. We're better for it. You will be so very missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Bob here in Tucson and in Iowa. Bob had a great sense of humor and a dedication to treating his employees with respect and kindness. He tried to recruit me to stay in Iowa and always told me I had a second home there. Thank you Bob for everything, may you be at peace now my friend! You will be missed.
