Robert "Bob" Higbie
November 04, 2022
Robert “Bob” Higbie, 63, passed away November 4, 2022 at Unity Point Taylor House Hospice.
Bob was born November 23, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas to Elza Lewis and Sue Higbie. In addition to Texas, he lived in Massachusetts and Arizona prior to moving to Iowa three years ago. Bob worked as Director of Operations for Centene. He loved the Lord and was a member of Adelphi Calvary Baptist Church.
Bob was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his wife and daughter, Ana. He loved the life he built with his wife Patty. Bob enjoyed being outdoors, especially on their farm taking care of the animals. He loved fishing, hunting and golfing. Bob was fun loving. He enjoyed teasing people and making them laugh, he especially loved doing things that no one expected him to do. Bob would do silly things such as promising daughter Ana that he would watch a Barbie Movie with her on February 29th. She never caught on to it. At the same time he was a man of few words but those words meant everything to him. Bob showed great concern for others and if you were a part of his life, he considered you family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Patty; daughters, Ana Higbie and Kimberlea Higbie-Ward; granddaughter, Jolie Standley; brother, Richard Higbie; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his angel babies.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Adelphi Calvary Baptist Church, 7925 SE Vandalia Drive, Runnells, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to ACTS Academy in loving memory of Bob.

I had the pleasure to work with Bob for a few years here in Tucson. His humbleness and ability to make those smile around him was literally the best welcoming experience ever. He will be missed. Rest in Love and my sincere condolences to all his friends and family.

I met Bob on his first day at Iowa Total Care when he transferred from AZ. It took us 5 min to talk about deer hunting for about an hour. Gonna miss talking to him about the upcoming season.

We could say so many wonderful things about Bob, but to sum it up, Bob was a genuine man who left a legacy of love and fun with whomever he came in contact with, especially with Patty and Ana. We are blessed to be included in the Higbie "family circle".

Who didn't love working with Bob! I appreciated his "shoot it too them straight" attitude. He cared about his people and others that he worked with. My heart and prayers are with his wife and daughter. He spoke of you both often with pride and love. May you take comfort in how much he loved his family.
