Sandra Kay (Vogel) Popiano, 65, of Mt Holly, North Carolina passed away on October 15, 2022 after a courageous battle with terminal illnesses.

Sandy, as she prefers, was a devout Christian with a strong faith which allowed her an incredible determination to have a positive mindset despite her physical limitations later in life, she found so many things to be happy and positive about.

In her free time she loved her vegetable and flower gardens, drives to the beach, and decorating the house for the different holidays and seasons.

Later in life Sandy enjoyed painting, chatting with friends and watching movies at night with her husband Jim.

Most of all Sandy loved and cherished family and friends, that's what was most important to her.
She was loved by many and will be extremely missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory and legacy are her husband of 34 years James (Jim) Popiano, sons Jacob Popiano and Daniel Popiano; grandkids Kaylie Popiano, Elijah Popiano, Archer Popiano, Vivian Popiano, and Raelyn Popiano; siblings Kathe Kemp and her husband Tim, Paula TePaske and her husband Lon, Fred Vogel, Laurie Vogel, and Kurt Vogel and his wife Marita; as well as well as many cousins, Aunts and Uncles, other extended family and friends from all over the country.

Sandy is preceded in death by her father Ralph Vogel, mother Vivian Vogel as well as other extended family members that she loved dearly.
