Linda Vail

Linda Sue Vail, age 74, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

Linda was born August 8, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa to Arthur and Geraldine (Keasey) Stenslie.

Linda’s career was with Advanced Floor Covering. In her younger years, she also worked part-time for Younkers. Linda’s whole life purpose and passion was raising her children – family meant absolutely everything to her and she was so very proud of each and every one of them. She treasured time spent at all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren’s numerous activities and was always their biggest fan.

She is survived by her children, Tommy (Christy) Vail, Tim Vail, and Michelle (Gus) Childs; her beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey, Zoey, Macy, Brody, Gus, Maddy, Thomas, Joey, and Luke; special great-grandchildren, Luna and Levi; brother, Larry (Kathy) Stenslie; other loving relatives and many special friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tom and her parents, Arthur and Geraldine Stenslie.

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a reception at Hamilton’s after the service. Burial will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery following the reception.
