Debra Anderson

Debra Ila Anderson, age 60, passed through the golden gates of Paradise, fighting every step of the way on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

Debra was born September 17, 1962 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Charles and Sherie (Smith) Kaufman. She retired from Firestone after 27 years of faithful service.

She loved to gamble and enjoyed gardening and collecting rocks. Above all else, she treasured time spent with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Hanna Rae (Jeremy) Wilson and Aaron (Sarah) Allen; grandchildren, Landon Anderson, Zander Wilson, Silas Wilson, Andrea, Ayden, and Addison Brees; mother, Sheri McCrary; step-mother, Marti Kaufman; siblings, Charles “Eddie” (Sherry) Kaufman, David Kaufman, Dianna (Donald) McCurdy, Rick Kaufman, Jeremy (Kari) Kaufman, and Chris (Katie) Kaufman; step-brother, Rodney (Shawna) Skaw; numerous nieces and nephews, other loving relatives, and many special friends.

Debra was preceded in death by her father, Charles “Chuck” Kaufman and step-father, Charlie McCrary.

Services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Debra.
