Frederick Wadle

Frederick Clayel Wadle, 77, passed away on October 30, 2022, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Fred was born on November 21, 1944, to Jerome and Alberta Wadle in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a lifelong resident of Des Moines where he graduated from high school and later earned his Associate's Degree in Marketing from DMACC in 2000.
In his early years, Fred built and tore down houses, was a great handyman, and was a true jack of all trades. He worked in the bar business in the 70s and 80s but finished his career in auto parts sales. He married Nancy Johnston on January 5, 1991. He enjoyed spending time outdoors doing yardwork and gardening. He loved attending sporting events, especially baseball games, with his grandson. He was a jokester and loved playing pranks on people. He will be greatly missed.
Fred is survived by his wife, Nancy Johnston Wadle; sister, Becky Wadle Koonce; brother, Randy (Connie) Wadle; daughter, Lori Wadle Flaig; son, Fred Wadle (Sandy); daughter, Ashley Wadle; granddaughter, Megan Wadle (Blake) Ridout; grandson, Cooper Barrett; great-grandchildren, Waylon Ridout and Stella Ridout; his beloved dog, Shiloh; and other loving relatives and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alberta and Jerome Wadle; sister, Karen Elizabeth; and brother, Jerome David.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Fred.
There will be a celebration of life on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Eagles Lodge #109, 6567 Bloomfield Road, Des Moines.

Fred was a good friend and I'll never forget the times he and Gary Speck and I tended bar and watched the door at several local bars what a great time we had , the Southside and all your old friends will miss ya Fred and may the lord keep Nancy well and safe.
