Linda Pike
October 25, 2022
Linda Sue Pike, age 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
Linda was born August 15, 1947, in Des Moines, Iowa to Orville and Wanda “Maureen” (Wagner) Channell. She graduated from East High School in 1965, and was a Scarlet Stepperette. (Lee Township against the world!) Linda retired from the phone company after many years of faithful service. After retirement, she couldn’t sit idle and went back to work for the Iowa Department of Public Health. She met many wonderful friends at both places of employment. Linda was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes football fan. She loved absolutely everything about Paris, and was blessed to have visited there with her son years ago.
She is survived by her son, Marshall Adam (Caitlin) Pike; grandchild on the way; siblings, Katherine (Steve) Channell Justice and Bob Channell, Sr.; numerous nieces and nephews, many loving family members in Minnesota, other extended family, and countless special friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Maureen Channell; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Channell.
Services will be held on Friday November 4, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral at 11:00 a.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Interment will take place at Glendale Cemetery after the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Linda.
Condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

I am sad to hear of Linda's passing. We worked together at the phone company. We had such good times. We even attended a Hawkeye football game together. Her honesty and humor I will always remember. Adam, may you find peace and comfort in your special memories and may God hold you and your MOM in the palm of His hand. Prayers and blessings.
