Dominic Bonanno

Dominic Bonanno, 20, passed away in a tragic accident on the morning of October 24, 2022 in Tampa, Florida.

He was born on November 28, 2001 in Des Moines, Iowa to Dominic Sr. and Carolyn Bonanno. Dominic grew up in Des Moines where he lived and worked in home renovation and maintenance until he was 20 years old. He moved to Tampa, Florida with his wife a week after their marriage where they hoped to build their lives together. Dominic worked for the YMCA in Tampa as a maintenance tech. He made many friends and memories during his time in the sunshine state. His family can rest easy knowing he lived a happy and fulfilling life.

Dominic is survived by the love of his life, wife, Alexis; his loving parents, Dominic Sr. and Carolyn Bonanno; two brothers, Paul (Cindi) Bonanno and John (Holly) Bonanno; and sister, Marena Bonanno; his nieces and nephews, Trey, Riley, Samantha, Nicholas, Catherine, Isabella and Benjamin; grandmother, Penelope Palmer; father-in-law, Marvin Ferneau; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Randy Palmer; paternal grandparents, Sam and Mary Bonanno; and his mother-in-law Melody Ferneau.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Dominic will be laid to rest at 2:30 p.m. at Glendale Cemetery.
