Robert Redmon

Robert (Rob) Stanley Redmon of Altoona Iowa, former resident of Ottumwa Iowa, died Friday, October 21st at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born April 3, 1956, in Ottumwa, Iowa to Robert Redmon and Janet (Myers) Quinn. After graduation from Ottumwa High School, Rob moved to Phoenix, Arizona and worked for Miller Beer until returning to Iowa to raise his family.
He is survived by two sons, Brad, and Chad Redmon both of Altoona, Iowa. One granddaughter, Olivia Redmon of Altoona, Iowa. Stepfather, Tom Quinn, and partner Sheila Lucero, sister Toni (Richard) Petterson, brother Jeff Redmon, both of Kansas City and brother Dennis Redmon of Mesa, Arizona. Three stepbrothers, Tom, John, and Pat Quinn. Sister-in-law Diane Newburn, nieces Kris (Lawrence) Roberts, Katie Petterson, Erin (Redmon) Wilson, Samantha and Morgan Redmon, and Stephanie (Chrisman) Cloyd, nephews Greg Lawrence, Paul Petterson, Ian Redmon and Nick Chrisman. Great Nephews Jack, Sam and Joe Roberts, Isaac Redmon, Logan Lawrence, and Conor and Carson Cloyd. Great Nieces Ocean Redmon. Isabella Lawrence and Lily Cloyd.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dan Newburn.
Rob's greatest gift was his fantastic sense of humor. He kept us all laughing. He loved his boys and was crazy about his granddaughter. He has left a void that can never be filled and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of a great man. My prayers and thoughts are with Chad and family as they grieve the death of Rob. He is now pain free in heaven with God.
