Paul J. Navin

Paul Joseph Navin, 95, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Altoona Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Altoona.
Burial of the cremains will occur at a later date and place.
Paul J. was born to Paul W. and Lucille (O'Connor) Navin in the Irish community of Melrose, Iowa on April 18, 1927. The family moved to Omaha, NE for many years then moved back to Melrose. Paul graduated from Melrose High School and would later work at Firestone Tire in Des Moines and Bishop Drumm Retirement Center in Johnston.
Paul J. is survived by Marjorie, sons Paul A. Navin (Vicki), Charles Navin (Brenda), Bill Navin, Bob Navin (Wendy), Lee Navin (Angi), grandsons Jason and Roger, granddaughters Katie, Kelly, Nicole, Christine, Traci, Rhonda, Hope, Grace, and numerous great grandchildren along with many nephews and nieces plus other family members, V. Christine and Kimberly.
He is also survived by brother, George (Joanie), sister, Mary Lou McGrath, and sister-in-laws Anna Navin and Barbara Navin. Paul J. was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Patrick, brother Jack, sister Joan Maske, daughter Sue Navin Ponx, and daughter-in-law Jodene Navin.

I had the honor of working for Lt. Navin as orderly room clerk in 307th Air refueling Squadron in Lincoln, Nebraska. He indeed was a very good friend to me. My condolences to all of his family.
