Leslie Duane Stahowick, 96, passed away on October 23, 2022 at Methodist Medical Center.
Les (Pete), was born on July 2, 1926 to Sadie and Staw Stahowick in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a World War II veteran, joining the Navy at age 17. Les and his wife of 57 years, Leona Stahowick, were married on June 28, 1953. He was employed at Cargill, was a member of Teamsters Local 394 and Local 90, the East Gate Masonic Lodge, and was a member of Rising Sun Church of Christ. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, miracle gardener, and a man of true faith.
Leslie is survived by his children Mike (Sandy), Pat (Lynn), and John (Cristina); grandchildren Sarah Stahowick, Christopher (Kate) Stahowick, Samantha Stahowick, and Rachel Stahowick, step grandchild Kirk Jorgensen, and step great grandchild Kolbi Jorgensen. He was preceded in death by his wife Leona Stahowick, parents Sadie and Staw Stahowick, brother Stanley, and sister Katherine.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Rising Sun Church of Christ, 6390 NE Rising Sun Drive in Pleasant Hill. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at Rising Sun Church of Christ.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Rising Sun Church of Christ.

Pete's was a life well lived, and a man who was so deeply loved by his family. I am sure he will be deeply missed and out deepest condolences to the Stahowick family. The tribute was amazing! Know that we are there with you in spirit.

Stahowick FamilySorry for your loss. Your Dad held a special place in my heart because of his Cargill friendship with my dad and his willingness to serve as a pallbearer to carry my dad to his resting place in 2001.
