Debbra Thompson

Debbra Ann Thompson, age 69, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022.

Debbie was born June 8, 1953 to Ralph and Thelma (Modlin) Beougher. She enjoyed listening to music, especially oldies and gospel music, and reading her Bible. She loved the ocean and being outdoors. In her younger years, she liked riding Harleys. You always knew what belonged to her as she would “marker up” a lot of her belongings and reading materials. Above all else, Debbie treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Angela Thompson, Brian Thompson, and Brenda Thompson; grandchildren, Amanda, Dustin, Cesilia, Sonia, and Vicente; great-grandchildren, Damion, Devan, Isabel, Lisandro, and Ellianna; siblings, Daniel Beougher (Julie), Thomas Beougher (Rose), Robin Porter (Jack), and Michelle Smith (Herb); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Thelma Beougher and her grandson, Jose.

There will be a memorial service Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, IA 50266. A reception will follow at Hawthorne Hill Apartments Clubhouse, 921 Pleasant Street, Des Moines, IA 50309.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Debbie.
