Shawn Nicole With, 40, passed away unexpectedly at her home on October 19, 2022. A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 25 at New Hope Assembly of God, 4425 70th St in Urbandale, Iowa.
Shawn was born on October 3, 1982 to George and Vicki (Burbank) Hess in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a graduate of North Polk High school and Northwest Missouri State. She married Matt With on May 12 of 2007, and this union resulted in five children. She was a loving wife and mother and it showed in her career as a homemaker. She enjoyed all kinds of crafting, especially bows and invitations. She was an amazing cake baker! She loved music, the city of Paris, hamsters, and her four dogs. But what she loved most in the world was her children and she showed them that love in everything she did. Shawn had an unyielding faith in Christ and she expressed that in every action of her life.
Left to mourn her loss is her husband, Matt With; children, Aaron With, Noah (Hope) With, Micah With, Isaiah With, and Leah With; father, George Hess; brother, Derek (Sara) Hess; and father-in-law, Clayton (Janice) With. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vicki Hess.

I was in high school band with Shawn and loved being her friend. She always made me laugh. I was so happy to reconnect with her in recent years at church, and I enjoyed seeing her beautiful family. I will remember her bright smile, her contagious laugh, and the way she loved her children. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
