Alan Wilcox

Alan Wilcox, 73, died Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines. He was born on October 11, 1949, the first child of Donald and Geneva Wilcox. Alan graduated in the class of 1967 from North High School, Des Moines.

Alan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. He worked as an engineer in many areas of the United States until his retirement.

He was a member of the Union Park United Methodist Church, Des Moines.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Martha Wilcox. He is survived by his brother, Carl Wilcox, North Augusta, SC; and his aunt, Gladys Bloodworth, Des Moines.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2022 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Union Park United Methodist Church, Des Moines, in loving memory of Alan.
