Nancy Spahr

Nancy Spahr, 77, passed away on October 13, 2022 at Regency Care Center in Norwalk. She was born in Ankeny, Iowa on August 25, 1945, daughter of Wayne and Winnifred (Thornton) Spahr.

Nancy smiled all of the time. Anything that someone would do for her, rather it be small or large she would always say “Thank You”. When she was younger she had an Airedale dog, Nancy loved playing with Foxie and she loved playing with the kittens in the barn.

Nancy is survived by her brother, Roger (Sandra) Spahr; nephews, Scott Spahr and Brett Spahr; nieces, Brittany O’Carroll and Anna Kay Silva; great nieces, Samantha, Lily and Nina Spahr, and Brooke O’Carroll; as well as great nephews, Jacob, Brennen and Tanner Sahuri, and Danny O’Carroll. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Gail Johnson.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Family will greet friends from 9:00 -10:00 a.m., prior to services at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.
