Mary Elizabeth Celander passed away peacefully on October 9, 2022. She was born the daughter of Howard and Bertha (Davidson) McCarty on February 14, 1966 in Chariton, Iowa.
Mary was preceded in death by her mom, dad, and sister Lorie.
She is survived by her son William (Linesha) and their daughter Willow, son Donnie and his two children Natalee and Jr., Mary loved her grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Jay Jay, Rebecca, and Louise, and many nieces & nephews that loved their aunt Mary so much.
Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Eastview Community Center, 4101 E. 42nd St., Des Moines, IA, 50317.

Mary had the biggest heart! I will forever remember her and the fun we had. I will miss her so much and her snacks she made sure we had while we were working. We loved her so much. May you rest in peace my ornery girl. Love you always❤

My best friend at work, she was always the life of the party even when there was no party, I am forever grateful that God put her in my life!! The last words I said to her on Saturday were "I wish I had met you sooner" Rip my dear girl, there is a void now at our facility without you here, you were a beautiful inspiration to me for sure!!! Love forever my dear friend!
