Connie Thompson

Connie Thompson, 79, of Des Moines, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022.

Connie was born to Earl and Bernice Jaynes in Webster City, Iowa and graduated from Williams High School. Connie attended Mary Greeley School of Nursing and spent her entire career caring for others and volunteering during retirement. In 1968 she was united in marriage to Toby Thompson.

Connie volunteered with friends at the West Des Moines Clothes Closet and The Connection Cafe'. She enjoyed meeting friends for dinner, working in her yard, quilting and being led around Gray's Lake by Duke the Dog.

Survivors include her sons, Steven (Michelle) and David; niece, Janae Jaynes; grand-dog, Duke; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Tom.
