Brandon Starr, age 28, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Brandon was born April 29, 1994. He loved his family above all else and always put his children first. He enjoyed going to the Iowa State Fair and was an avid Cubs, Chiefs, and Hawkeyes fan. Brandon had a great sense of humor and could always make you feel better if you were in a bad mood. He was a hard worker and loved a good meal. He will be remembered as a caring person. He was ornery and could light up a room!
He is survived by his wife, Christal Starr; children, Elijah Ashby, John Starr, Bella Starr, and Charlee Starr; mother, Tracy Starr; father, Michael Starr; siblings, Cheyanne Starr and Andrew Starr (Tiffany); nephews, Kayden and Lucas; sister-in-law, Laurie Wilson; mother-in-law, Dixie Wilson; grandparents, Jacquelyn Starr, Patricia Clayton, and Donald Clayton; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Brandon was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Edwin Wilson and his grandfather, Gerald “Butch” Starr.
Services will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2022. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2022.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Brandon.

Brandon and I went to high school together. He was popular and I was not. His friends made fun of me, but he made sure I felt included. That was years ago but I still hold on. I'm so sorry to everyone impacted by this loss.
