Leasa Jean Stanger, 55, passed away September 24, 2022, at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Leasa was born May 12, 1967 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Edward and Anna (Nieuwsma) Vande Wall.
She enjoyed numerous arts and crafts like making jewelry, blankets, and flowers. She enjoyed watching television, especially the food network, the Chicago series, and sports with her son. During her work experience, she had the opportunity to witness numerous pro athletes sign baseball and football cards as part of her job. Above all, her faith and time spent with her family and friends were the most important to her. When her son was not around her dogs, Cael and Han were always there to keep her company. Despite many physical ailments Leasa always persevered.
Leasa is survived by her son, Riley Stanger; beloved dog, Han; mother, Anna Vande Wall; siblings, Ron (Majorie) Vande Wall, Linda Dahm, Sandra Conover, Gary J. Vande Wall, Kevin (Lori) Vande Wall, Pat Jacks, Marlin (Lynette) Vande Wall, and Brent (Michelle) Vande Wall; ex-husband, Ben Stanger; and numerous extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Vande Wall; brother in infancy, Gary E. Vande Wall; and numerous extended family and friends.

Riley, there are no words. Know that your Mom loved you tremendously. Hopefully knowing that she is whole, no longer in any pain and that we will see her again brings you comfort. She will be missed.
