Raymond Dawson, age 70, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Lamoni Specialty Care Nursing Home. He was born the son of Robert & Margaret (Aldrich) Dawson on January 15, 1952 in Monticello, Iowa.

Some of Raymond’s interests included fishing, garage selling, and loved trips to The Boat in Osceola to gamble. Above everything, he enjoyed spending time with his nieces & nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is lovingly survived by his significant other Lois Ewurs, sister Patricia (Robert) Hayner, brother Thomas Dawson, nephew JR Dawson, niece Stephanie Dawson, great-niece Andrea Loose, half-sisters Becky, Susan and LuAnn, and other loving extended family members.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lawrence Dawson & Leonard Dawson, half-sister Tammy (John) Hayner, many aunts and uncles, and other loving relatives.

To honor Ray Dawson the family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date.
