Perry Rowe, age 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at EveryStep Kavanagh House. He was born the son of Dwain & Marjorie (Smith) Rowe on May 9, 1943 in Iowa City, Iowa.

Perry proudly served his country as a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a Civil Servant working for the VA Hospital in Des Moines as well as the Department of the Army in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Perry had a special appreciation for graphic arts and was learning so much over the recent years. He was a talented artist and enjoyed painting, one of his favorite past times was carving pumpkins and was known for his detailed designs.

Perry was known for his big heart, he enjoyed playing Santa Claus for his family and friends, especially bringing smiles to all the nurses and patients at the VA Hospital in Des Moines close to midnight every Christmas Eve. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 48 years Raeleene Rowe, children Daniel (Valerie) Rowe, Tammy Rowe, and Jessica Rowe, grandchildren Johnathon, Taylor, Logan, Shelby, Claretta, Clarissa, and Gabriel, great-granddaughter Sadie, siblings Dwain (LuAnn) Rowe, Willis Rowe, Cheyenne (Bob) Roedell, and Thomas Rowe, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

Perry was preceded in death by his son Philip Rowe, parents, Dwain and Marjorie Rowe, and sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Betsy" Rowe.
