Kenneth Virden, age 90, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. He was born the son of George & Minnie (Hoffman) Virden on November 18, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Kenneth attended Lincoln High School, afterwards he was drafted into the US Army and served in Germany. He honorably served from August 29, 1953 to June 9, 1955. After retiring from the US Army, Kenneth began a career for the City of Des Moines as a tree trimmer and later worked as a local and over the road truck driver until his retirement in 96’.

Kenneth enjoyed tinkering on cars or anything he could get his hands on. He had enough tools to fix any job. He attended Heritage Assembly in Des Moines and was a member of Bellizzi Mac Rae American Legion. One of his favorite things to do was polka dance with his wife, Patricia. Kenneth will be remembered most for being a kind and generous man.

He is lovingly survived by several nieces & nephews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, and his brothers & sisters.

Private burial will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
