Just found out today about Shannon. She was our waitress every Thursday nite at Perkins. No one else took care of us except her.
Her friendly smile will be missed by those of us who knew her.

To the Family of Shannon Christene Smith:
We the Congregation of Hope Fellowship Church, 1108 South 33rd Street, St. Joseph, Missouri, would like to express our deepest sympathy upon the loss of your loved one. God is good all the time, and He has promised to comfort you in times like these. His word says in II Corinthians 1:3-4 that God is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. God will use this experience to comfort you so that you can in turn comfort someone else with the same comfort that you have received from Him.
We encourage you to look to the hills because that is where your help comes from. Your help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth, as stated in Psalms 121:1-2. During this difficult time, trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6.
Bro. Richard Newman, brother of the deceased, is a member of the Congregation of Hope Fellowship Church. We will keep you, Bro. Richard, and the entire family lifted up in our prayers. May Gods peace and grace abide with you always.
Prayerfully submitted,
Pastor Earnestine Blakley
and the Congregation of Hope Fellowship Church
