Barbara Gibbel

Barbara Gibbel, 80, passed away September 14, 2022, at Eldora Specialty Care.

Barbara was born May 6, 1942, in Des Moines, Iowa to Arthur and Anna (Deer) Pink. She grew up in Des Moines and graduated from East High School.

She loved to dance especially Country music. She farmed growing up and enjoyed gardening. She enjoyed watching Rusty race or was just interested in anything he was doing. Above all, she loved her family.

Barbara is survived by her son, Russell “Rusty” (Kim) Gibbel; fur grandbabies, Zoey and Ella; sister, Dorothy Remele; and a host of extended relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Delores; and brother, Arthur.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Rising Sun Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Barbara.
