Velma Robbins, age 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Parkridge Specialty Care. She was born on July 24, 1929 to Alta and Alan Davidson.

Velma graduated from East High School in 1947. She was a longtime office manager for Millard Construction.

Velma is survived by her daughter Cindy O’Brien, son Rod (Mary) Robbins, daughter-in-law Deb Robbins, 8 grandchildren Stephanie (Greg) Kephart, Craig (Tia) O’Brien, Shannon O’Brien, Sean (Melissa) Robbins, Tricia (Jorge) Ibarra, Tiffany (Mike) Frogge, Rodney Robbins, and Cody Robbins, and 15 great-grandchildren Shelby, Grace, Albert, Robin, Vicki, Sydney, Greg & Gabi, and Sara Kephart, Teagen & Flynn O’Brien, Max, Lucy & Xavier Ibarra, Enzo Frogge, and Beckett Frogge.

Velma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert Robbins, son Randy Robbins, daughter Sheryl (Steve) Terpening, granddaughter Sharalee Terpening, her brothers & sisters, and other loving extended family.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
