William Arthur Robinson

William (Bill) Arthur Robinson, 65, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022. Services will be held at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA on Monday, September 19th at 2:00 p.m.

Bill was born July 4, 1957, in Fort Madison, IA to Barbara and Charles Robinson Sr.
He moved to Des Moines in 1975, where he would start to date his future wife, Georgeann. Bill and Georgeann were married for 44 years.

He worked most of his career in the transportation industry as a Truck Driver, and worked in production for Pepsi Co.

Bill enjoyed watching sports, especially his Dallas Cowboys. He loved Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. He enjoyed cookouts and grilling for his family. Fishing, and listening to his collection of albums were other favorite pastimes. Bill loved to spend time taking his grandbabies to the movies or out to eat.

His birthday was a celebration! A time for family to get together for fireworks and food. He wasn’t always a man of many words. If you got the chance to pick his brain, he had knowledge on many subjects. One thing everybody knew, is that Bill DID NOT PLAY!

Bill is survived by his wife Georgeann Robinson; sons, Tyrae Sr. (Tara) and William (Brandi) Robinson; his grandchildren, Tyrae Jr, Rayvonte’, Raiahna; and step-grandson, Christopher Campbell Jr; his sisters, Sherry Robinson, Angela Robinson (Laverne); his nephews, Dmarco Jackson, Arthur Robinson; niece Terika Jackson; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Bill was proceeded in death by his parents, Barbara and Charles Robinson Sr; his brothers, Edward Robinson, Charles Robinson, James Robinson, and David Robinson; his sister, Treasa Robinson.
