Dianne Lynn Kopp
September 06, 2022
Dianne Lynn Kopp, 70, passed away September 6, 2022. Her family will hold a private service to honor her.
Dianne was born April 13, 1952 the third oldest of seven children to Rita (Zeffield) and Raymond Des Jardin in Hubbell, MI. She was raised Catholic for most of her life, but many years later, through self-discovery, Dianne researched her Native American Heritage and was very proud of her ancestry.
Dianne was kind-hearted and passionate about helping others. She was a certified foster care provider, and as a survivor of domestic violence - was prompted to volunteer at domestic violence centers. She was a support counselor at a treatment center for alcohol and substance abuse and frequently volunteered her services to help those in need. She relocated to Iowa 20 years ago to be closer to her daughter and grand-daughter. While in Iowa, Dianne continued to volunteer and also worked for the American Furniture Store and later for the Urbandale Care Center until her retirement. Dianne was a very humble and supportive mother, grandmother and friend. She was very proud of her family and those surrounding her in her life.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, April St. Aubin (fiancé, Sam White); her granddaughter, Mataya St. Aubin; her siblings, Cindy Slingerland, George Des Jardin, Frances Des Jardin and their spouses.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Danny Des Jardin, Raymond Des Jardin and Donna Borovicka.

Oh April I am so, so sorry to hear your precious mom has passed away. She was such a wonderful, loving and kind friend. I enjoyed working with her and doing our bible studies together. My heart aches for you and Mataya. Both of you will be in my prayers.

I knew Dianne from delivering 'Meals on Wheels' to her on most Mondays and Thursdays at Valley West apartments over the last 3 or 4 years. She always had a positive view on life and happy to talk for a minute and share happenings including her recent car hail event. But she 'had a daughter and grand-daughter to take her shopping'.
I often admired the 'dream-catcher' she had on her door. A totally unexpected and sudden loss and my condolences to her family.
