Deng Lothi

Deng Lothi, age 80, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Deng was born August 27, 1942 in Vientiane, Laos. She enjoyed gardening and grew roses and a variety of vegetables. She liked watching Thai movies and playing games on her iPad.

She is survived by her sons, Sai, Keo and Chay; her daughters, Bang, Sang, Tong, Diane and Kelly; grandchildren, Southane, Soukham, Soupradith, Damouk, Ulrich, Kim, Jade, Kenzo, Cristy, Sharky, Richard, Monique, Hunter, Vincent, Erik, Amber, and Marky; many great-grandchildren; and her sister, Moune.

Deng was preceded in death by her husband, Hom Lovan and her parents.

Funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Burial of the urn will be at Glendale Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
