Rosalie "Rose" Brown
August 28, 2022
Rosalie Marie Brown, loving wife and mother, passed away August 28, 2022 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 72.
Rosalie was born September 26, 1949 in Chariton, Iowa to John and Mary (Zuccurello) Peterson. She married the love of her life, Douglas Brown on January 13, 1968. Rose always wanted to be a mother and after years of trying, finally achieved her dream and showed how a mother loves unconditionally by accepting God’s gift of two sons. She was the rock of the family and also their angel. Rose helped Doug start a successful business, in which he gives her all the credit and could not have done it without her. She was a talented artist and loved to read.
Rose is survived by her loving husband, Doug Brown; sons, Dan and Chris Brown; siblings, Dan (Lisa) Peterson and Mary (Randy) Maurer; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Harlan Peterson and Arlene Mabrier.
The family will greet friends Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral services will be held at 9 am Friday, September 2nd at the funeral home. Rosalie will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
