Ellen Jean Alexander, 86, was born October 25, 1935 in Adair, Iowa, the daughter of William and Laura (Heckman) Garrett. She passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, August 28, 2022.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, and she will be laid to rest with her loving husband at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.

Ellen is survived by her daughters, Peggy Alexander, Patricia Barnard and Barbara (John) Gill; other loving relatives and many special friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Alexander.
