Mary Agnes Agans

Mary Agnes Agans passed away at her home on August 29, 2022, at the age of 88.

Mary Agnes was born February 23, 1934, in Centerville, Iowa to William and Crystal (Scifers) Caffee. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Mary Agnes was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She had a servant’s heart with a gift for entertaining. She enjoyed square dancing, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and loved chocolate.

Mary Agnes is survived by her sons, Charles Jr. (Michelina), Gary (Patty), and John (Ann); daughters, Mary Lee Agans, Donna (Robert Sr.) Grange and Georgia Parkey; son-in-law, Chuck Grange; 31 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; daughter, Crystal Grange; three sisters; and one brother.

The family will greet friends Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary Agnes will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
