I found out about Gary's passing from a mutual friend a few days ago. I met Gary years ago when he was working at HyVee, and I'd have my daughter in tow with me. I'll never forget how kindly he treated her, and how as she grew up, he'd always have something nice to say to her when we'd bump into him somewhere. You could tell how much Gary loved his family, too, by the things he would say about them. God blessed a lot of people through this man and he will be deeply missed. My prayers go out his family, and those who were close to him.

I met Gary through ACMOC. He loved the antique machinery. I am proud to say he once operated my Cat 12 Grader. He loved that machine. What a great friend.
