Margo Blanche Williamson Boon, 74, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed to her eternal reward on August 24, 2022, at Iowa Methodist Hospital Hospice following a brief illness.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 510 E. 1st Street in Ankeny. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. with visitation to follow until 10:30 a.m. Urn burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Margo was born in San Diego, California, on February 24, 1948. Her parents moved the family to Ankeny, Iowa, in 1950. Margo attended Ankeny Schools, graduating in 1966. She was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Des Moines and eventually Cherokee, supporting people in hospitals and in their homes. Margo was proud of her work, and it gave her great fulfillment to help others.
Her marriage to Clayton Boon produced two sons, Aaron and Jeff. Following a divorce, Margo met Jean Lyman, and they moved to Cherokee where both continued their careers in the medical field.
Left to grieve her passing are her two sons, Aaron of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Jeff of Enterprise, Alabama, her two sisters, Sylvia Piper (Brian Ney) of Ankeny and Pamela Meis (David) of Norwalk, and her brother Paul Williamson Jr. of Des Moines. Preceding her in death were her parents, Paul Sr. and Rosemary Williamson and her partner Jean Lyman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Accura HealthCare of Cherokee where Margo lived the past few years.

Margo we will miss you so much. You are loved and you were always there for our family sharing your love with all. Though you faced many obstacles and struggles in life, you always persevered. I find comfort and relief that you are finally at peace. God bless you..Love, Paul
