Brenda Schultz

Brenda Diane Schultz, age 83, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022.

Brenda was born December 21, 1938 in Des Moines, Iowa to Harold R. and Annabelle (Hartman) Cox. She was a Lincoln High School graduate. Brenda was a resident of the Des Moines area her entire life. She worked as a nurse for Mercy Medical Center, and was a manager for Kum & Go later in life.

Brenda loved reading, especially mysteries and biblical stories. She loved country western music and was the band Midland’s greatest fan. She was also an avid NASCAR fan and loved her fur baby Gracie. She was a night owl and liked to stay up late talking with family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Theresa Drew (Paul), Chris Martinez, Carla Garber (Terry), and Gina Paine (Chad); bonus children, Michelle Ridout, Patricia Wolf, and Michael Ridout; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; multiple other loving family members and children that she loved, influenced, and nurtured; as well as her fur baby Gracie.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Annabelle Cox; and her brother, Tim Cox.
