Service Details
Kim Lee Brown was born January 19, 1957 in Des Moines, Iowa to Craig and Lorene Brown. Kim received her education in the Des Moines Public School System. She loved sports and played basketball for Tech High School and was very good at it. Kim had nieces and nephews and they loved her dearly. She was like a second mother to them.
She left us on Saturday, August 20, 2022 to join the Lord and to reunite with her parents Craig and Lorene, her sister Ritta, and brothers Carlo and Jimmy.
Kim leaves to cherish her memory her brother Craig Brown of Seattle, WA, sisters Penny, Roxanna, and Bonita, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at True Bible Baptist Church, 4101 Amherst Street, Des Moines, IA 50313.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Kim.

I came to know Kim in 1989. Kim worked in the WIC program--then came to MCH. We got to work closely with each other for over 20 years. Everyone LOVED her. Kim was KIND! to anyone and at all times. She was the best--and her standards were high. Kim was loved by everyone. She was a powerful woman. Bless you my dear friend and LOVE to all the Brown family (especially to Penny, Lloyd and Felicia). Reminiscing back in the days Who didnt know Kim Brown as the most likable school classmate to all especially to me in basketball girl we kick some ? You know what ! Back in our teenage years😊how we stayed friends even after graduating from high school Rest In Peace my friend and condolence to the Brown family.
