James M. Scopa

James Michael Scopa passed away on August 17, 2022, in Des Moines at the age of 86. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 1, 1936, to Nicolas and Mary Scopa.

James served in the United States Marines from 1953-1955. He lived most of his adult life in Prairie City, Iowa, and worked for Iowa Parcel (now UPS), retiring in 2001.

James is survived by his loving wife, Cora Scopa; daughters, Terri (John) Savage and Karen Vandenburg; son, Michael James Scopa; as well as 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
