Robert "Dobby" Dobbins

Robert "Dobby" Dobbins, 76, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 7, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 3510 72nd Street, Urbandale. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

Bob was born March 14, 1933, in Wilmington, Delaware to Maude Emma and Clarence Dobbins. He served his country proudly in the US Navy during the Korean War. Bob worked as a wholesale paper cutter at Xpdex in Ankeny. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed woodworking and jewelry making as well as other crafts. He could fix almost anything and enjoyed bike repair.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia, his children, Eddie of Tupelo, MS., twins, Darryl of Pico Rivera, CA., and Darlyne of Sun City, CA.,and Robert of Santa Fe Springs, CA.; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; his brother, Richard. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Jean.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the VA Hospital in loving memory of Bob.
