Russell E. Riggan, Jr.

Russell Riggan, Jr., age 68, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born the son of Russell & Shirley (Wheeler) Riggan on November 26, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Russ served his country in the US Navy from 1971-1975. He received an Associate’s Degree in Electronics and later worked for USPS and retired after 30 years of dedicated service. Russ had a lifetime passion for coin collecting, metal detecting, treasure-hunting, gardening, landscaping, and anything cars related.

He is survived by his wife Roxanne of 51 years and 11 months, sons Russell Riggan III, Phillip M. Riggan and Zachary Smith Riggan, daughters Sarah Anne and Keira Anne Riggan, daughters-in-law Gina Cole and Sandra Riggan, grandchildren Annette, Rusty IV, Shannon, Stormy Riggan, Phillip M.D. Riggan, Ivy Penman, Michael, Kendra and Nathan Csader, greatgrandchildren Nicholas, Brelynn, Zayla and Emmett.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents Russell Sr. & Shirley Wheeler Riggan, sisters Linda Boothroyd and Meda Woodyard, and nephew Randy Ercse.
