Anna May MacKay Kramme

Anna May MacKay Kramme, 85, of West Des Moines, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Regency Care Center in Norwalk. Anna was born February 4, 1924, in Des Moines to Alexander and Marion MacKay. She was a graduate of East High School. Anna married Robert L. (Bob) Kramme in 1945 and they lived in West Des Moines and raised two children. Anna worked for the Des Moines Water Works, and then worked many years as a realtor/broker with Iowa Realty. She loved working with people and helping them find their dream home. Anna was very proud of her Scottish heritage. She loved gardening and working in the yard, cooking, her church, her friends and most of all her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Rinda Kramme; two granddaughters, Dawn DeBoef and Andrea Jolly; four great-grandchildren; nephew Jim Semple, other family and close friends, and her beloved schnauzer Muffy.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her son Rob, her sisters Mary and Elizabeth, and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 11, at 10:00 a.m. at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
