Anna Rae Lyddon, age 71, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Anna was born February 18, 1951 to Hubert and Ethel (Nissen) McCants. She worked for Continental Western for 24 years in data entry prior to her retirement. She was active in the VFW Auxiliary. She loved visiting with friends and doing word search games. Her greatest joy was her family and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Charles (Eddie) Lyddon; children, Charles Lyddon Jr and Viola (Jamie) Christenson; grandchildren, Alexanderia Christenson and Hunter Christenson; sister-in-law, Vera McCants; and a host of other family and friends.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Ethel McCants; sister, Alice Blazek; brother, Roger McCants; and an infant brother, Andrew.

According to Anna’s wishes, cremation will occur and there will be no services held at this time. There will be a private memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League.
