Sharlett Ann Douglas

Sharlett Ann Douglas, 65, went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 5, 2009.

Sharlett was born October 20, 1944, in Des Moines. She was a life long Des Moines resident. Sharlett was a daycare provider and she owned and operated a commercial kennel. Her greatest passion in life was her family who loved her dearly and will miss her greatly.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lory (Ed) Allen and Sindy (John) Rivas; mother, Dora Dorriss; sisters, Judy Brown and Martha Davison; brother, Lonnie Davison; and grandchildren, Tessa and Johnathan Rivas and Brian and Sharlett Allen. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Davison.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2009, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
