Marjorie Marie Bean, 79, was born August 23, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Friday, July 29, 2022.

Marjorie is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Alfred Bean; children, Joyce Bell, Joe (Angie) Carter and Julie (Mike) Young; step-children, Allen (Lisa) Bean, Andrew Bean, Susan Fuentes, Tina (Patrick) Riley and LaVonne Craghead; 36 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Kathy) Shaeffer; other loving relatives and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Yarwood; father, Floyd Shaeffer; brother, Ronnie Gates and grandson, Jared Bean.

Funeral services will be held at 6 pm Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Union Park Baptist Church, 821 Arthur Avenue, Des Moines. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 5 to 6 pm at the church. Private burial will take place at a later date at Pine Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Union Park Baptist Church or Family Adventures, 728 Little Wekiva Circle, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32714 in loving memory of Marjorie.
