Myrtle “Louise” Clark, the only daughter of four children born to Philip Roberts and Maymie Gwinn Roberts July 6, 1925 in Derby, Iowa, passed away on July 26, 2022, at Edencrest Green Meadows in Johnston where she resided for 5 years. Louise attended rural school in Lucas County and graduated with the class of 1943 in Derby, IA. She attended classes at Indianola’s Simpson College in 1943 and 1945.

On January 17, 1946, Louise was united in marriage to the late Raymond Pirtle in Russell, IA. To this union three daughters were born. Maymie Ray, Sandra Kae, and Joyce Ann.

Louise worked most of her life as a bookkeeper, retiring in 1981. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, going to the Casino, and solving crossword puzzles. After moving to Edencrest she enjoyed playing Bingo and Bags Baseball. She also played country and gospel music on the piano and organ by ear, a family trait. She enjoyed listening to country music and liked watching golf, especially when Tiger Woods was playing. Louise accepted Christ as her savior and was baptized at the Baptist Goshen Church near Lucas where she attended Sunday school for many years.

Louise is survived by her loving and caring daughters, Maymie Stout, Sandy Wollard, and Joyce Roby and husband Mike, all of Des Moines. Grandsons; Brad Stout (Macy) of Waukee, Iowa, Shane Stout, New York, Andy Roby (Holly) of Bondurant, Iowa.
Granddaughters; Heidi Sickerson (Darren) of Urbandale, Iowa, and Jodi Nobile (Steve) of Des Moines, Iowa. Great-grandchildren: Connor and Nathan Stout, Morgan, Drew and Madison Sickerson, Jensen and Ian Roby, Maggie Meis and Joe Nobile. Nephew; Dennie Roberts Jr. of Humeston, Iowa. Nieces; Linda Kephart of Sun Valley, California and Debbie Fiscus of Lorimor, Iowa.

Preceding Louise in death were Husbands, Raymond Pirtle, Keith Mallicoat, and Teddy Clark. Parents Philip and Maymie Roberts, Brother Dennie Roberts, Sister-in-law Nell Roberts, Infant brothers, Donald and Philip Roberts Jr. Also, Sons-in-law Loren Stout, Gerald Wollard, and Forrest Reese (Maymie’s significant other).

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, where the family will greet visitors beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Pine Hill Cemetery will follow the service.
