Ronald E. Lehman

Ronald Edward Lehman, age 88, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022.

Ronald was born December 7, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa to Frank and Clara (Fredericks) Lehman. He graduated from Lincoln High School and enlisted in the United States Navy for six years. Ronald married Mary Ann and to this union they had two sons, Kevin and Brian.

Ronald worked for Iowa Power for over 30 years. He began as a lineman and retired as an electrical engineer. He enjoyed birdwatching, fishing, gardening, and traveling with Mary Ann. Ronald was an avid Hawkeyes fan and traveled to many bowl games.

He is survived by his son Kevin Lehman, son Brian (Michele) Lehman, and his grandchildren Kelsey, Zachary, Lauren, Joshua and Cody.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Clara Lehman, his wife Mary Ann Lehman, and his sister Gloria.

There will be a celebration of life from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will take place Friday, July 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Elm Grove Cemetery.
