James "Jim" Norton

Jim Norton, age 73, passed away at his home on July 10, 2022. He was born in Clarksville, Iowa, on May 5, 1949, the son of Leila and James D. Norton.
He graduated from Clarksville High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his active service, he worked for Twin City Concrete and later retired.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Ruth; children, Jennifer (Scott) Matthiesen, Johanna (Ryan) Wasileski, and Jamie (Molly) Norton; step children, Renee (Dean Owen) Arpy and Richard (Jennifer) Gooden II; daughter-in-law, Melissa Norton; grandchildren, Mackenzie (Tony) Meyers, Dalton Vileta, Colby Vileta, Ben Vileta, Madison Wasileski, Jacob Wasileski, Addison Norton, Jace Norton, Zeke Norton, Rafe Norton, and Maeve Norton; step grandchildren, Brittney (Kyle) Underwood, Jacob Gooden, Morgan Gooden, Cassie Floden, and Destiny Arpy; great-grandson, Ryan Meyers; 5 step great-grandchildren; brothers, Terry (Marilyn) Norton and Rocky (Lynn) Norton; his dear friends, Jim and Jeanie Weaver, as well as other loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son, Doug Norton.
A graveside service will be held at Iowa Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, July 28 2022, at 12:30 p.m.

Prayers for Ruth and your family. Im so very sorry for your loss. It still feels like a dream and not reality. Jim was the best neighbor and helped me out so much. He was like the neighborhood grandpa to my kids. He will be missed by many. God Bless!
