Service Details

Debra Kegley of Des Moines, IA, age 64, passed away at her home on Thursday, July 7, 2022. She was born the daughter of Bill and Betty Kegley on August 2, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio.

Debbie was loved by many, and was always the life of any room she entered. Her goal was always to bring a smile to someone’s face, and truly left a lasting memory on so many in the world. Debbie experienced life to its fullest, and lived across the country through her years, ultimately calling Des Moines, IA home! Debbie worked at the Y.W.C.A. where she attended evening classes to obtain her G.E.D. after years of leaving High School and went on to excel in college courses to better her computer skills. She went on to perform well in the data entry field within the insurance industry and enjoyed working very much until she was unable to work any longer.

Debbie was the lighthouse to many, with always embracing the little things in life, and showing things were better with a laugh. She could make the darkest room bright, and make the worst situation seem a little less heavy when she was around.

She is lovingly survived by her sons Mark (Tammie) Hermosillo and Roger (Brooke) DeGregory, and Daughters Reanna Hermosillo and Jennifer (Charles McCarver Jr) Chappell.
She is also survived by her 18 Grandchildren Brandi, Brandon, Jenna, Caleb, Rachael, Michael, Cameron, Cara, Cayla, Jonathan, Carlos, Benjamin, Daniel, Alena, Breanna, Kane, Bryn, and Kamden. She is also survived by her Companion Dennis as well as siblings, aunts, uncles, many family members and loving friends.

Debra was preceded in death by her Parents Bill and Betty Kegley, Sister Toni Kegley, brother Scott Kegley. And her Kitty, Mommie
