Daniel E. Kirby, 60, passed away July 2, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Santa Fe, California, on February 2, 1962, the son of Elvin and Ruth Kirby.
Daniel was a graduate of Grinnell High School and enjoyed woodworking and home remodeling.
Daniel is survived by his children Justin Kirby and Kayla Kirby-Lutz; friend, Son Hoang, as well as other loving family and friends.

I hope you are able to read this, I'm sorry for sending it so late. I'm really happy you were a part of my life, and I'm really sorry we lost contact over the years. I'm not sure if you remember, but you were the first person I met when I landed in the states 23 years ago. I remember you poured me a glass of OJ when we got back to the house and you were so kind to me and our family since that date. I'm sorry I'm not able to see you in person but just know I remember every year you were in my life and that I'm thankful to have had you to guide me through my childhood. Love you bud.
